Monterey Regional Airport Celebrates Neurodiversity with a New Youth Art Exhibit
Featuring the Diverse Works of Chartwell School’s Lower, Middle, and High School Students
MONTEREY, CA, April 30, 2025 – Monterey Regional Airport’s Art at the Airport program celebrates neurodiversity with the installation of a new student art exhibition in its Youth Art Gallery. “Celebrating Neurodiversity Through Art” features distinctive medium compositions created by lower, middle, and high school students at Seaside’s Chartwell School.

MRY’s replacement terminal remains on schedule, but with tariffs, its cost could be a wild card.
With $37 million of federal grant money in its sails from the 2024 fiscal year and another $14.2 million expected to come this spring, the Monterey Regional Airport’s transformation is continuing. If all goes as planned, a sleek new passenger terminal will be ready for takeoff come May 2027. But “transformation” is not the word the airport uses.
